Matraca Conarro
My love for health and fitness started from being a track & field athlete growing up. I have a degree in exercise and sports science with a minor in coaching. I learned quickly in this field how I had the opportunity to impact people's lives for the better. This is why I decided to become a trainer + nutrition coach. I LOVE to help others unleash their true potential through finding their strength in the gym AND in the kitchen.
The coolest thing is, YOU have the power to transform your body and your mind! Wherever you are in your journey, let me help you achieve your goals and build the confidence you deserve!

Client Reviews
“I have been training with Matraca for almost a year and highly recommend her! Her knowledge and expertise are evident in every workout. With Matraca’s help, I’ve made significant strength gains and drastically improved how I look and feel! The workouts are challenging, and she can always motivate me without pushing me beyond my limits. She creates a positive and welcoming environment that makes working out enjoyable and something to look forward to. What sets Matraca apart is her friendly personality, professionalism, and commitment to her clients.”
— Bob“In looking at trainers, I wanted to work with someone who was genuinely interested in helping me pursue the kinds of goals I cared about, without making me feel like I had to build my own program from scratch. Matraca makes that easy. I have never felt overwhelmed by decisions, but I always trusted that we were training toward something meaningful and aligned with what I wanted.
I’m also consistently impressed by her command and mastery of exercise science. She is incredibly knowledgeable, and that knowledge shows up in the intentionality behind everything we do. I trust that our training always has a purpose — not just for short-term progress, but for my long-term goal of aging well, staying strong, and continuing to move confidently decades from now.
As a woman interested in strength training, finding the right coach can feel intimidating. At the end of the day, you’re choosing someone you trust with your body — someone you trust to spot you, support you, and keep you safe if you fail a lift. I have never once questioned whether Matraca “had me” if I failed a lift, and I feel stronger for it.
What also sets her apart is that she looks at training holistically. She checks in on more than just numbers or performance and pays attention to the outside factors that can either support or hinder progress (things like sleep, work load, general life stress, family relationships, etc.; I mean the gal is basically a therapist!). And when life isn’t perfectly aligned, she reminds me to give myself grace instead of pushing shame or guilt. Overall, I truly believe I am a better, stronger lifter — and honestly, a better person — because of her coaching.”
— Cristina“I like to run but strength training has always been an unwelcome chore. Then I started training with Matraca three years ago. She brings so much positivity and lively energy that I always look forward to training and rarely miss.
Matraca always forms the workout to my specific needs. Besides strength work, she has devised creative ways to turn back the clock for this aging man on balance, coordination and agility. She also thoughtfully helps me with exercises to improve my performance at sports I still do (golf, pickleball and running).
I’m truly grateful to have found Matraca as a trainer, not only because of her fantastic knowledge and skill, but because her work with me is individualized to my needs, and I enjoy every session.”
